As the weather gets nicer and nicer, I realized that I was shuffling a lot of my winter wardrobe aside just to get to my spring items. I remembered the whole KonMari method and decided to see how I did reapplying it after a season had passed.
Since I initially decluttered around summer (thanks to being inspired by The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up*) , I’d left a few dresses and shirts which I was 30% sure I’d definitely wear again. Well over 6 months later, these items have just been doing what they always do: taking up space.

Downsizing this time around was a much smoother and quicker process. It got to the point where seconds after picking up an item I knew whether I wanted to keep it or toss it. And unlike last time, I didn’t question my decisions… I just went with my gut and was done in under an hour.
Among the things to go were an old Forever 21 bodycon dress that I hadn’t worn since 2 winters ago, a black polo sweater that has shrunk too much for my broad shoulders, and a lululemon jacket that I absolutely love, but feel too scared of ruining it to really enjoy wearing it. (That last one is going to be resold within the next couple of weeks, possibly on my Vinted page.)
Continuing with the spirit of decluttering, I’m planning to finally list a few spring/summer items on my vinted account soon, such as a NWT pair of TOMS that I’d never gotten around to wearing, as well as possibly some NWT uniqlo shorts which I purchased but which never felt right for my style.
This week, I’m gonna work getting all this good stuff listed, on my Vinted page, as well as taking a whack at repairing some of the items that I’m just not ready to give up on yet.
